Ghanaian Hiplife and Afrobeat Singer-Songwriter Kuami Eugene after winning ‘Best New Artist of the Year in 2018 went back to say thank you to his people for their support.
The ‘Fadama’ boy has not forgotten his root. This time around, he took his VGMA plague to show it to the National Chief Imam of Ghana, Dr. Sheik Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, and also to seek some spiritual guidance and blessings from him.
The ‘Open Gate’ hitmaker and his team visited the chief Imam at his residence at Fadama in Accra today.

Kuami Eugene won Artiste of the Year and Highlife Artiste of the Year at the just-ended 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMA)
In the video shared by the singer on social media via his Twitter page, he is seen on bended knees whiles Sheik Osman Nuhu Sharubutu lay his hand on his forehead pronouncing some words in his language unto him.

After the prayers, the Ghanaian ‘rockstar’ also had a conversation with the chief Imam, showed his award to him whiles flaunting it proudly.
Kuami Eugene captioned the video “Mallam Babba, Nagode sosei da Aduwoyin na kaki mini kunluu. Sheekara uku k3ga da nafara waaka, Aduwoyin ka yakaawo ni nanga. Mallam, Allah ya biya, Allah yaakara manyawanchi Rai, yabarmu taaare.” meaning “Mallam Babba, thank you for your prayers. The three stories are very moving, your prayers are with me. Mallam, may God bless you, May God bless me with many lives, may He bless us.”
