According to Kwesi Pratt Jnr, the managing editor of the Insight newspaper, the Ghanaian economy is in trouble because of the rising cost of goods and services on the Ghanaian market.

The president is certain that he has failed to fulfill the enormous promises he made to Ghanaians throughout his campaign.

In an interview with Peace FM in Accra, he accused Nana Addo of talking too much and doing little.

When it comes to GDP and KWZ, Ghanaians have become used to former President Kufuor’s economic philosophy: “All the calculations are in your pocket and if we check inside our pocket, the situation is really poor,” stated the president.

He brought up the rising cost of kenkey while discussing the recent surge in food costs.

“It is inexcusable,” the seasoned journalist complains about the increase in the price of an ordinary ball of kenkey from the previous month’s price of GHC1.50p to GHC3.

“Within two months, a GH1.50 kenkey has gone up to GH3… for those of us who appreciate it.

As a result of these global and international circumstances, the global economy, and so on…
