Eastern Region: 1st year SHS student dies in ghastly accident while returning from nightclub at 2:00 am

A first-year Home Economics student of Asesewa Senior High School in the Eastern Region has died in a tragic motorbike accident at Mampong stretch of Somanya to Odumase Krobo road while returning from a nightclub, reports Kasapaonline.

The deceased has been identified as Florence Batsa. The report said she was on a motorbike with her female friend and the motor rider heading home from Memorial nightclub in Somanya when the unfortunate incident happened.

The rider of the motor survived the accident and told reporters that the accident was caused by a driver of a vehicle who veered off to their lane and his attempt to swerve him to avoid a head-on collision, the motorbike crashed.

The rider and the other lady sustained serious injuries but Batsa Florence died on the spot.

The injured are on admission at St Martin’s De Porres Hospital in Argomanya while the body of the deceased is deposited in the morgue of the same facility.

According to the Uncle of the deceased, Mr Partey, the deceased will be buried on Friday.
