Don’t Be In A Hurry To Make It Big In Life, Be Patient And You Will Get There -Jackie Appiah Advises Youth

The youth of today are always in a hurry to make it big within the shortest frame of time. This has forced a lot of them to be involved in things they wouldn’t have. While some of them follow the lives of their celebrity mentors, Jackie Appiah has advised them not to do so.

Speaking as a guest on UTV’s United Showbiz show, Jackie Appiah made it clear that she didn’t get where she is today by rushing and compromising.

” The youth of today are in a hurry to make millions of cedis within a short period of time but it doesn’t work like that. It took hardwork, tears, and pain to get to where we are today. When you see us flaunting on social media, don’t get swayed by it..be patient with yourself, pray and focus on your goals and you will make it”. She advised.

Adding to what Jackie said, Yvonne Nelson who was also at the studio stated that sometimes the youth are not fully to be blamed for wanting to be like the celebrities.

According to Yvonne, a lot of the celebrities live fake lives on social media thereby forcing those who look up to them doing whatever it takes to be like them.

” We are also partly responsible for the way the youth behaves sometimes. We live a certain live on social media making them feel they need to be like us. We need to organize seminars to tell them the truth that getting to where we are is not easy. We need them to know that if they want to be successful, they have to put in the work and dedication!! Look at the amount of money we all started earning when we started? John earned 2 cedis for his first movie and the movie Producers don’t pay us our worth, if we had decided to give up, will we be here today? Yvonne reiterated.

In their final statement, they advised upcoming actors to be humble, prayerful and ready to work hard. They advised the youth not to just go into it for the money but for the experience they will gain to help them build their brand.
